This is one of the most scariest and interesting movie ever. At the start of this movie, you see three people named- Mia, Gavin, and Luis. They want to make a documentary on a person “Deborah Logan” who is suffering from Alzheimer’s disease because they want to collect information about that disease. 

This is a mental disorder disease in which a person’s memory is lost and they don’t behave like a normal human. Deborah and her daughter agreed to the documentary because they needed money. 

Then the crew members install cameras and sound systems in the house to record Deborah’s behavior. Deborah starts doing strange things like hitting herself or others, screaming, talking to herself, running away from the house, and many more. 

After watching her recordings, Gavin believes that this is not Alzheimer’s disease, but some form of paranormal activity. After extensive investigation, everyone discovers that Deborah has been possessed by the spirit of one of her clients “Henry Desjardins”. 

Henry has a mental disease and he has some connection with demons with their help he performs the Monacan Ritual ( a ritual for becoming immortal). According to that ritual, he has to sacrifice 5 young girls who have just started their menstrual periods. 

Out of which he had sacrificed 4 girls and 5th girl is Deborah’s daughter. After finding this out, Deborah kills Henry and his spirit enters her body. 

In the end, all of them together burn Henry’s dead body, due to which Deborah’s body gets free from Henry’s spirit and the movie ends.

What Happened At The Ending Of The Taking Of Deborah Logan?

The ending of the movie is terrifying. In the climax, you can see Deborah brings a little girl named “Cara”, who has Cancer to the same cave where Henry sacrificed the previous 4 girls. 

This section clearly shows that Deborah is possessed by Henry’s spirit and he brings the girl to finish his monancan ritual. 

Sarah and the other crew members also came to the Hill. They saw Deborah trying to swallow Cara (one of the scariest scenes). 

Sarah shoots her and stops her from swallowing Cara. Then, she sets fire and burns the dead body of Henry and the Deborah’s body gets free from his spirit. 

On the other side, we get to see that Sara’s cancer is completely closed. Seeing Cara’s scary smile during an interview, it seems like Cara is now being possessed by Henry’s spirit and the movie ends with this suspense.
